So, as I promised during the Xbox bailout, I’ve decided to show you guys a little bit of my gaming setup. This was thrown together really hastily and was totally not planned at all, and so there’s a few technical glitches. I know it’s hard to hear me initially, but that’s unavoidable… Really, the bit I’m most proud of starts at the 4-minute mark, so you might want to skip to that if you don’t really want to hear me blithering on. Which, trust me, you don’t.
While the net amount of time spent on this wound up being actually longer than it would have taken to write about it, the results speak for themselves. Watch– watch and feel the power of epic failure.

This happened Friday night after my post, and the hotel wi-fi was too atrociously slow to upload prior to this. So, yeah, we love cons and we love the people who go to the cons.
So, in honor of Independence Day, I decided that I was going to rebel. That’s right, I was going to stand up and say, “Hell no! I will not acquiesce to demands made upon me by people who are not in my immediate vicinity and/or not threatening me with pain and violence!” Then I realized that rebellion is too much work, and that this is a holiday. So, instead, I stayed the silly little sheep that I am and dredged up some dork playing “Night of Fire”, as requested by Mike. Happy 4th of July, folks.
Inconsequential Update: As you have probably guessed, this was a huge weekend for writing. I currently have five scenes left plus one or two potential rewrites, with my word count at 89,500. Of course, I’m not done yet– I have some errands and other stuff to do this morning, but this afternoon is cleared to finish everything up. Four of the last five are big scenes, and I fully expect to be over 95,000 when all is said and done, if not pushing closer to 98 or 100,000.
All right, all right. Yeah, yeah, I know, first try, boring subject, lousy lighting, stupid actor, horrifying wardrobe selections. Sue me. It was late and I was overly excited about it. No idea if anyone’s interested in seeing more of me. Without the bathrobe. With regular clothes, of course; I’m not going to show my daddy parts on the Interwebs. I meant ‘more’ as in ‘more pointless and needless drivel’. Though after this paragraph, I’m pretty sure the answer’s going to be ‘no’.
