So I’m back in Pittsburgh. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving… Really, I’d have more to say but right now I’m just a little tired. The weekend was good, with a few hiccups, but I’m ready for bed already. Oh, and for the record, I did hit my 50K goal for NaNo on Saturday night, so there’s that– I’ll probably spend the rest of the week finishing up the last four chapters before I get even more distracted by Chrono Trigger. I swear, that game is so good it’s bad for me. Anyway, catch you all… eventually. Oh, I have game and anime reports due on the LJ at some point this week… so I suppose I’ll see you there.
I had a post for this morning about Burnout Paradise. Then the mouse in my apartment introduced himself. Needless to say I’m not in a good mood right now…
And with that, ladies and gentlemen, I’m back to my usual boring existence of writing and not doing much else. So we’re back to boring blog entries for the time being. Deal with it.
Work combined with Otakon prep meant I got almost no writing done this week. I wasn’t prepared at all to get back into the novel and I was distracted by thoughts of, y’know, getting out and seeing friends. So what’s going to happen? I’m going to focus on having fun at Otakon for the foreseeable future, and when I get back, I’m going to make an effort to finish up the draft. I already thought of a way I need to re-write certain scenes to make the story a bit more well-rounded, but it’s going to take some doing. …a lot of doing. I’ll keep you guys updated.
I have quite a bit to say about the iPhone 3G. To much surprise, not everything is positive. But to little surprise, I’m a bit short on time right now to type it all up. Expect the full TFO-style review at some point this week.
Spoiler: The short answer is that I’m torn between being glad I waited for the 3G version and kicking myself for not getting off of Sprint sooner.
Okay. It appears that in my rush to get through TWEWY– and believe me, it was a rush– I forgot that I wrote up a post over lunch. So instead of that post– which was about Iron Man– you get this, and the Game Clear notice that’s about to go up. I really am sorry, folks; I’m not usually one to space on this sort of thing, but as work is calming down (proof of this being that I really did get the post prepared over lunch) I should be getting more verbose very soon. Let’s just stick the Iron Man post on Thursday and see what I work out for tomorrow– I’m thinking I might watch NCIS now that the DVR’s built up a good buffer, but we shall see, huh?
……..right, so I’ve finally overused the excuse of “no time to write”. Fine.
Today’s my birthday, so you get no post just yet. This was a rough week, and today’s celebration(s!) took the majority of the day. Over the weekend I’ll collect my thoughts and relax. So until then.
Yeah. Long story short: don’t expect any long entries this week. Hopefully over the weekend I can relax and get my thoughts together for something substantial here.
