The last couple of days were pretty much not filled with general life-stuff, so unfortunately this is going to be a pretty dry entry. However, I’ll go ahead and say that I like driving, in general. Driving imparts a sense of calm in me, a feeling of profound peace that allows me to relax, and truly enter a state where thought is nullified and there is only action. It might sound a little overly mystical, but it’s fairly mundane once you get used to it. Sometimes, all it really takes is some silence and an stretch of open road.
And sometimes, like yesterday, not even the most unbreakable calm is enough to overcome high winds on the roads through and around a city that is mostly bridges.
Yeah, that wound up being one of the more harrowing trips to Cranberry and back. Still, no problems arose, just my blood pressure.

Sorry, folks– I completely forgot about today’s post in the midst of the chaos that’s been surrounding me these past couple of days. Things are starting to calm down, though, and tomorrow– well, I’m willing to bet tomorrow’s post is also going to be late, but tomorrow will be a point where I can relax, at the very least.
Catch you, then.

Very large and loud rumbling noises that sound like uncharacteristic thunder or perhaps some sort of apocalyptic cataclysm should not happen at 3 AM. Matter of fact, they should not happen at all. But if they must, can’t they pick a time when I am not asleep?

At 6:45p, I completed the fifth stage of Rez HD on the Xbox 360’s Live Arcade. This is the fourth game cleared in 2008. The next game that is queued for completion is Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (PSP), followed by CSI: Hard Evidence (Wii), and Super Mario Galaxy (Wii). Game was cleared over three days.
The seal on purchasing new games will be broken on April 1st, 2008 if there are greater than seven Game Clears before then, or March 1st, 2008 if there are greater than ten. (Rez HD does not count towards the March 1st deadline as it is a remake of a game I’d previously completed; as a result, I have one fewer Game Clear.)

For the record, the following is a list of things I do not care about:
The Super Bowl
MySpace and Facebook
Where ur cats are and what they’re doing to ur stuff
The last time (gaming site webmaster)’s kid threw up on a common playground ride
Why I’m an evil and immoral person for playing video games
Why I’m an evil and immoral person for not playing your favorite video game
Why I’m an evil and immoral person for playing video games that you don’t like
Actually, I don’t care what games you like either
Or that you emulate everything
Or that you hate emulation and think I’m going to hell for it
Your Pokemans. You may not show me them
Your ten-volume epic poem about why Windows sucks and I should use Linux
Your twenty-volume epic about why Apple sucks and I should use Windows
Your trilogy of coffee-house films about why both Windows and Linux suck and I should use OS X
That wicked sick video you took of your friends teabagging each other in Halo 3
Or the one where you re-enacted it in reality
Or the one where you wore clothes that time
Your list of grievances
My list of grievances
Grievances in general
Thank you. I realize this list is pointless bitching but I feel that I sort of need it right now. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to fire up Pokemon Silver on my MacBook, running XP, and level up TEABAGGR to 100 so I can post it on my Destructoid blog with a witty, lolcat inspired caption.
Trust me, today was fine until about half an hour ago when all hell broke loose. Long story. Don’t bother asking because I’m just going to forget it ever happened.
