Wiimote is the barrel, but I agree about not being sure how I'd hold it.

Red herring: You mention its suitability for a game like TP - a game not MEANT for it, where you're using the motion sensitivities. A better "not entirely designed with it in mind" game might be a prior shooting game like Red Steel or something, and whether it adds to your experience immersively without creating a functionality issue for you.

The "holding the trigger grip with both hands" - Was it balanced holding it that way? You didn't need to be firm to keep it from tipping forward or back in your hands weight-wise?

It's pretty bad that it has immediate and obvious wear and tear issues (re: the nunchuk)

In your last paragraph, you mention no obligation to play the game with the Zapper shell, BUT you don't mention how this goes... does the game require the Nunchuk plugged in at all times or it gives you a message, or can you just plug the nunchuk in when it's relevant to the current situation and otherwise unplug it and handle the Wiimote gun-style with panache? When you do plug in the nunchuk, does needing to hold the nunchuk with your other hand detract from your aim & shoot ability by comparison (something that the shell would then be GOOD for)?

Details, details my man!
