It Is Delicious Cake, You Must Eat It
Just a quick lunchtime note. I’ve been a fan of Clif Bars for a few months now– actually, since about December or so– but I’d been limited to only the kinds I could find in stores nearby. I took a trip down to an organic grocery store last night and came across a handful of flavors I hadn’t seen before. Prime among them was “Carrot Cake”.
Short answer: I have a new favorite kind of the bar.
EDIT: Believe me, I know this is boring news, but let’s be honest here. It’s carrot cake. What kind of a reaction were you exactly hoping for it to elicit out of me, revulsion? It combines two of my favorite foods. The only way it could be better would be if it were chocolate covered, but let’s not get overly silly.

I still prefer the chocolate chip (which tastes like a granola bar with extra molasses… and I like molasses). But the carrot cake is rather tasty.

by the way, I came to your site through google, looking for the complete fanfic TTOKAH (The Tale of Kain Aron Highwind); haven’t been able to find it… but one of your posts in the old blog said that you had it… if you still have it, would you be so king of sending it via e-mail, or leaving it somewhere … or to tell a way to contact the original author to get the full text. I really want to read it.

In no particular order, then:
Kat, Clif bars are small granola-ish snacks that were designed for high-intensity activities like rock climbing or other “outdoorsy” pursuits. They’re somewhat expensive (a buck each, roughly) but quite good. You can probably find them at the grocery store with the rest of the energy bars. I was pretty sure I’d offered you or Andrew one at Otakon, though (I know Rick was ecstatic to hear I had them).
Rick, the chocolate chip ones are also high on my list, though the brownie ones are good every once in a while, even if they’re a little too heavy… but, while I still have a couple of flavors to try out, nothing shall unseat carrot cake. NOTHING.

I no longer have a copy of the Tale, as it were, but as has been said, its author is a regular contributor to both these comments and the forums.
