I remember seeing the Secret of Mana ad at the age of 8ish, but for the life of me I can't sync it up with the german spot that's all over the internet. I distinctly remember different scenes and musical score... ah well... It left a lasting impression.
Heh, regardless, I asked for an SNES just for that game (thankfully)

Halo 1 was alright but meh, Halfway through the game there were all these zombie enemies and things got muddled and dumb. The only real fun part was seeing how high you could launch the Puma.

On the other hand, I don't give a crap about My SIMS or Viva Pinata. I'm kind of stoked at the idea of GTA4 and MGS3 but I can't afford a next gen console.

I guess I'm just not hard core anymore. I've returned to the trap I was in ten years ago. All I care about now is how many exotic animals I can enslave for use in killing other exotic animals. IE Pokemon. I'm starting to remember why I was so obsessed when I was playing Blue and the whole thing was new.

On the other hand, if they announced a new 2D Castlevania for a handheld that people actually give a shit about I'd be all over that. Better yet, a new 2D Metroid. The last good FPS was Half Life.

That wasn't REM. That was "Mad World", originally by Tears For Fears and remade by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews.

I don't care about Halo 3 either. I still haven't played Halo 2, and the only reason I played Halo is because it came out for the PC. I'm still waiting for Marathon 4; if the hardcore were really being catered to, we would be seeing that instead of the dumbed-down and glitzed-up Halo games.

Video-game ads really suck now-a-days. The last one I can think of that was notable was for Gears of War, and that's mainly because of the artsy-fartsy REM music.

The only ad for Secret of Mana I can find online is a German one, but it looked decent for its day.

Though I did find the FF3US ad that I remember seeing once.
