Pre-Essay: Friday Notes
You know, it’s a funny thing about sleep deprivation. It never hits you until you’re in the middle of something relaxing, enjoyable, and that you actually want to do. As it stands, last night my body ‘remembered’ that I had only managed to get four or five hours of sleep the night before, and insisted quite forcibly that I go to bed. At least it let me finish reading the volume of Bleach I had started.
So, as you can expect, this had some impact on the speed run. My readers, let me alienate you/them: I gave up on leveling after only about an hour. Difficult to stay awake, and there wasn’t much on TV to keep me awake at that time. Anyway, I got Starmie to 57 during the course of getting Rhyhorn to 38. I’m leveling at my usual spot at the top of Bicycle Road, so it goes pretty quick; the numbers I have say that by using the Exp. Share, I can get Rhyhorn to 42 or 43 while I get Starmie to 60, and then from 42 or 43 to the evolution point (57) while getting the Ninetales from its current point of 42 all the way to 60. The reason I’m not letting Rhyhorn/Rhydon take point is because it’s not leveled properly yet. Once it hits 42 or 43 and can use some effective attacks, I may have it go full-time as I’m not fighting the Mankey/Machops that it would be weak against. Anyway, that’s all for tonight; I fully expect to have finished my preparations by Saturday morning, and should have the E4 done by Saturday afternoon.
