Devouring Earth
So, yeah. I feel pretty confident that the stuff I’ve written for Essay Week (that’s next week, folks) will be good; as a result I kind of need to go grocery shopping, so I can eat, which is that thing I need to do to not die.
That said, I did go ahead and play a bit more of LeafGreen this morning; the fifth and sixth badges are mine, and I’m skipping picking up the Legendary Birds until just before or just after the E4. Levels are good; I’ve got one in the low 40s already, my Dragonair is in the high 30s (seriously, this is one long and unending slog through to Dragonite– sucker doesn’t evolve until 55, 56 if I want Outrage before 61; I might bite the bullet and evolve at 5 so I don’t sacrifice Wing Attack’s STAB-ness), and the rest kind of blah in the mid 30s. I’m pretty unfocused for the E4; I’ll probably need to do some thinking about it after I clear Victory Road, but right now I don’t have solid Electric or Fire types to go in with, and I haven’t touched my Psychic primary since 32. I do have an intense appreciation for Snorlax, though, and he might be the biggest help in the battles ahead (no pun intended). My ultimate goal is to not go into the E4 until I’ve got a full team of 6 at 60 or higher; as for the speed-run concept, that idea’s pretty much gone out the window.

My favorites for Snorlax is to give him Hyperbeam and Rest (with a Berry to wake him up). ^_^
