I’m not sure if anyone else here had any interest in Mario’s Picross for the Game Boy way, WAY back in 1996 or so, but I can tell you that I did. I wouldn’t actually get my hands on the game until 2000, and then it was well worth it– it kept me sane and occupied while I was showing crappy romantic comedies at the student union in college. I went through those puzzles pretty quickly and thoroughly, and I loved every second of it (except that the music got irritating after about a couple of hours). So when I saw that Picross DS, minus the Mario trappings, was now out in the US, I snapped it up– Target had it at $20, which I think is more than a fair price. I’m only through the tutorial puzzles (had to brush up) and the first fifteen standard puzzles, but already I know this was a good pick. I’ll have a full review up soon at Netjak, but in the meantime I recommend you folks with DSes pick it up.
