By the way, this has inspired me to write a column very soon about the ultimate rhythm game soundtrack, and what it would contain.

Indeed you can. Just played it, actually.

As for its difficulty, that varies. (Quick lesson; skip if you don't care to know how Pop'n works) There are two modes, 5-button and 9-button, and 9-button has varying difficulty levels (9-line/normal, Hyper, and sometimes an EX, but not always, as in this case). 9-line normal is a 16, which falls about in the high end of "easy"; Hyper is a 25 (and insanely hard; I've only managed about a couple Hypers myself on previous mixes). 5-line is a 4, meaning literally anyone should be able to do it; it's among the easiest 5-line tracks on Pop'n 11, with only one track (Fantasy) rating a 3 in 5-line. (The scale of difficulty is from a hypothetical 1 to upwards of 43; for Pop'n 11 5-line the scale goes from 3 to 19, while 9-line normal runs from 3 (Fantasy) to 26 (Hip Rock 2).)

ahem To answer your question, it's not too difficult in 9-line normal but it's not really going to be anyone's first song. In general the licensed tracks tend to the easier end of the spectrum.

So you can Pop'n to Moonlight Densetsu/Moonlight Legend?

Curious: Is it a complex song as translated into Pop'n form, or pretty easy? Call this the "how many feet do they rate it at" question but without knowing the equivalent Pop'n terminology.

So far? No. If there were to be a US version (which given the trademark "Music Mania" is looking increasingly likely) then I'd lobby heavily for it. We'll just have to settle for the Sailor Moon theme, Tank!, Cruel Angel's Thesis, and a pretty good version of Rhythm and Police.

Oh, and Murmur Twins. Because my GOD does that song rock.
