At 9:02p, I defeated (spoiler, hover over to read), the final boss of Final Fantasy XII on the PS2. This is the third game cleared in 2007. I have completed two out of four games needed to break the moratorium on purchasing new games. The next game that is closest to completion is Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS), followed by Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (DS) and Super Robot Taisen (GBA).
For reference, the video relates to Shutdown Day, which is March 24th. I’m thinking of participating; obviously I would have to figure out the “pre-posted blog entry” bug for the forums/front page info boxes, but I might leave that alone for the time being. We shall see.
Oh, incidentally, barring any further distractions, I should be done with FF12 today and should be ready to resume my writing after the end of this week (work is going to be crazy for a while).
There, uh, really isn’t much to tell, folks. I upgraded WordPress to avoid that nasty little exploit that’s been going around, and everything seems to have progressed nicely. So, yeah.
Yeah, I got nothing. Spent last night finishing up the major grind in preparation for finishing FF12; this weekend is going to be a blitz of that. Also, just as an aside, I did try to find some content usable for this morning; I just, well, couldn’t find anything that would really be worth showing on the site.
There will at least be an update tomorrow, even if it’s “still nothing”. On the plus side, I should be getting back to writing more after Monday or so.
I wanted to talk about Think Secret’s gallery of the new Leopard (OS X 10.5 screen shots) stuff, but I’m still reticent to type for extended periods. Instead I’ll just mention that I’m about three or four dungeons away from the end of FF12; I leveled to 39 last night, and most of the guides I’ve read say 45 is best for the final boss, so I think I can start advancing the story tonight or tomorrow, depending on how much work I have to do. After that… Hm. I’ve got my pick of games to proceed with, but I’ll probably go with Trauma Center or finishing up Castlevania. Either way, I’ll be keeping myself busy and occupied for a while.
