I sort of did it when I first read your post. Luckily I had a large project of building a shed to occupy me. Then last night an important PC crashed at work requiring I not onlyuse a PC but use the internet to find a data recovery solution.

Just wait till the first time Shutdown Day lands during a regular work day instead of the weekend. Yeah, shutting down won't happen. ;)

Can you discuss (at least privately) the contents of the rejection letter? Also, this might be from your first batch of "bad" letters, right?

Also - granted, you avoided computers for a day (I'm not sure about that debit card scanner, though) - but you can't live your current life doing that.

Being able to turn off for a day is one thing, but being able to run a lifestyle that doesn't use computers is another - and in some cases given our reality right now, isn't possible. :)
