I'm friends with various Scots who I go out drinking with occasionally and it's never dull. ^_^

On fact every so often we do have and Englishman (me), an Irishman and a Scotsman and we walk into a bar. Hilarity obviously ensues.

Sorry to hear you had a bad time anyway, there's a lot of hatred and resentment up in Scotland for outsiders in general in the cities despite what the Tourism board would have you believe.

The stereotypes of the Scots and Irish are mostly untrue (well, I can more attest to the Irish one, since I don't fit the stereotype at all). Though there's nothing wrong with enjoying a few drinks... or cursing a lot for that matter... What you more likely saw Furry was some dumb twits, which coulda come from any country. Oh, and America sucks - your own fault for being born there. Learn from your mistakes next time ;P

(PS, love the new design - very snazzy!)

"Yinz"? "Gian Iggle"? I undoubtedly have the worst accent of anyone here but even I couldn't figure these out. (The other two I got.) Is the first one supposed to be "you 'uns"?

BTW, I'm the exact opposite of conscious about my accent. I love my accent. Especially when it leads to people thinking I'm a dumb hick.

Overused? The F-word? It couldn't be!
Amusing tale, though, especially with the full context since I'd gotten the abbreviated form yesterday. Sadly, the Scots and the Irish both kind of have that following. Probably uncoincidentally, they both have an affinity for drinking too. ^^;;;
