Happy New Year’s
Good morning, everyone, and Happy 2007. I hope that all of you have had a good night’s sleep (or at least partied until you didn’t need one). We are now a mere 1,096 days from The so-called Future of 2010. Kinda puts some things in perspective, huh?
In any event, this year I’m going to try to do a few things differently. I’m a little tired of forcing myself to write in here, so from now on I’m going to do it daily. That’s right, tops on my list of resolutions for this year is one post per day. Now granted, not all of them will be all that interesting, and some might be just plain boring or too much information, but you will get at least something out of me. If I have to leave town or get away from the computer, I’ll write up stuff ahead of time. That’s the big one.
The other one, as you may have guessed, is finishing games. I mentioned that last time, but I’ve played a good ten or so hours of FF12 this weekend (so far– I plan on putting another 4 or so in today) and I’m still digging the game. Granted, being able to get up and make a sandwich while my characters battle it out is a little unnerving. It’s not good or bad, to me, just… well, different. Needs getting used to. Anyway, my forced leveling session did me a bit of good as I cleared a boss that by rights I should not have gotten past (the Great Wyrm in the jungle– stupid multiple status effects!). If regular battles are hands-off, then a boss battle is very much a hands-on affair.
I’m a quarter of the way through rating all of my music. I spent a while last night doing that, reclassifying and paring down the duplicates. I now have 12,621 tracks listed as “active” and 3150 of those with star ratings. However, there are just some tracks that I don’t want to listen to, for some reason; about 400 or so have sat in the “rate me” bin since I started this little project back in November. I might go through and rate all of those just to have done with them…. yeah, I’ll do that really quick this morning.
Anyway, not much else going on right now, folks. Going to mess with the music for a while, then do a little cleanup work before I sit down with FF12. Later, folks.
