It’s the strangest thing, but I’ve been having a lot of trouble lately writing for Incon. All of my other projects are going wonderfully– I wrote for the CoH story, I wrote the Tekko report, and I’ve even gotten the basics of a Beatmania review together– but when I get to just sitting down and writing for the project that’s closest to completion, I just go completely blank. Now, granted, I did add about 4000 words last Thursday, but that was then and I’ve not touched it since. Hell, I didin’t even open it once over the weekend, instead opting to play CoH and Kingdom Hearts II.

I suppose now’s a good a time to give my impressons as any; I’m just over 14 hours in, and arrived in the Tron-themed world (”Space Paranoids”) for the first time. It’s interesting to note that some of the worlds visited are completely devoid of combat (well, at least two worlds, so far– there was some minor fighting in SP). However, the Atlantica minigames are really, really unneccessary. Moving back to stuff I like, though, more FF characters are in the mix and they seem to have bigger roles; though, when did the Gullwings become chibi and e– er… yeah, that’s a spoiler. How about this: why is Cloud still a whiny $%&@! even when Aerith is alive and freaking talking to him?! How could Aerith be that empty of emotion without Squall slipping her drugs or something? Why is Chicken Little the single most useless summon in the game, and the only one I’ve had for the last ten hours? Huh, guess I have a lot of unanswered questions. Still, every game has these sorts of things, and overall the experience has been positive.

Plus, well, the voice acting has been spot on. Even Vivi. And we all know I love good voice acting.

That’s really been about the extent of my time… I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to get some writing done soon, but there’s no real guarantee of that. I also ought to get something up for the books/media pages; I’ll probably put ten pages of ‘Game of Lords’ up in PDF format just to gauge interest. Heck, I might even offer that for free on the site, seeing how as I’m going to have to completely rewrite it once I decide to re-start that story. Anyway, yeah. Just have to take this one day at a time and see what happens.
